HORL® 3 PRO Rolling Knife Sharpener, 1:3 Transmission Speed, Multi-Angle Sharpening System (10°–25°)

HORL® 3 Pro – The Revolution in Knife Sharpening
The HORL® 3 Pro redefines knife sharpening by combining ultimate precision with extreme efficiency. Thanks to its innovative planetary gearing technology, this sharpener achieves results three times faster than conventional models – for professional sharpness every day.
Perfect Sharpness with Six Adjustable Grinding Angles
The HORL® 3 Pro Angle Support offers six precise grinding angles, allowing customization for any knife. The 10°, 13°, and 15° angles provide delicate sharpness for hard steels, while the 20°, 22°, and 25° angles ensure long-lasting durability for robust steels.
Precision and Speed Through Innovative Technology
The integrated planetary gear system offers a 1:3 transmission ratio, making sharpening three times faster than traditional systems. Inspired by the intricate mechanics of fine timepieces, this advanced technology sets new standards in knife sharpening.
Quick Lock System for Customizable Sharpness
With the HORL® Quick Lock, grinding discs can be effortlessly exchanged, allowing the use of additional accessories to achieve different levels of sharpness and optimal results for every blade.
Diamond and Ceramic Discs for Ultimate Precision
The pre-installed diamond grinding disc ensures fast and efficient sharpening for all types of knife steels. Its highly durable industrial diamonds guarantee consistently high grinding performance. The ceramic honing disc then removes any burr, refining the blade’s edge for a smooth and polished finish.
Enhanced Stability with Maximum Grip
The HORL® Grip Pad technology provides up to 70 percent more grip than previous versions. Ultra-strong magnets ensure that even the smallest blades are securely held in place.
Ultimate Precision in Every Detail
Optimized gearing components and reduced flywheel mass ensure smooth rolling performance and maximum efficiency. The HORL® 3 Pro combines state-of-the-art technology with exceptional craftsmanship, setting a new benchmark for professional knife sharpening.
Tips for a Perfect Sharpening Result with the HORL® 3 Pro
Knives that have been sharpened freehand often have an inconsistent angle, making it difficult to achieve uniform results. To ensure precise and repeatable sharpening, it is recommended to use the HORL® 3 Pro Roll Sharpener together with the magnetic angle support. With six adjustable sharpening angles (10°, 13°, 15°, 20°, 22°, and 25°), the HORL® 3 Pro provides maximum flexibility for different types of knives and steel hardness, ensuring a consistently optimal sharpening experience.
The time required for sharpening depends on the condition of the blade and the quality of the steel. The first sharpening session may take slightly longer, as the knife typically does not yet have the selected sharpening angle. On average, it takes about five minutes to grind the knife to the desired angle. Once the correct angle is set, future sharpening sessions become significantly faster and require fewer movements.
Sharpening Tall Blades
When sharpening particularly tall blades that extend beyond the height of the roll sharpener, a special technique is required. Place the HORL® 3 Pro on a sufficiently elevated surface, such as a cutting board, so that the blade edge aligns correctly within the radius of the diamond grinding disc. This ensures even contact along the entire edge, resulting in a consistent and precise sharpening result.
Sharpening Serrated Knives
The HORL® 3 Pro can also be used to sharpen serrated knives, such as bread knives. In this case, the magnetic angle support is not required, as serrated edges do not have a consistent sharpening angle like straight-edged knives. Instead, hold the knife in your hand and rotate only the sharpener, ensuring that the edge of the sharpening stone lightly touches each serration. Gradually roll the sharpener along the edge, maintaining a steady motion. This method effectively sharpens the peaks of the serrations, restoring their cutting performance without altering the knife’s original structure.
