The Bread Slicer CLASSIC from ZASSENHAUS cuts the crispy loaf exactly the way you want it, and in the desired quantity. Dry slices are a thing of the past. The extra sharp round blade with special wave edge is "Made in Solingen," which means it works precisely and swiftly. You can adjust the cutting thickness from 1 to 18 mm smoothly using the regulator.

The smooth-turning crank fits comfortably in your hand and is rotated clockwise. Four rubber feet provide optimal grip and ensure safe operation. This machine from the retro collection is sustainable in more ways than one.

It operates without electricity, and by slicing the bread as needed, it helps reduce waste. The lacquered die-cast, crank, and beechwood cutting board also make it an eye-catching addition to any kitchen.

Best Bread Slicer

I bought the Zassenhaus Retro Hand Bread Slicer Classic a couple of years ago for myself, and I use it every single week. I absolutely love how effortless it is to get perfectly sliced bread for sandwiches, and it cuts through my crusty artisan breads that I bake with ease. I am so impressed with it (and love it), that I recently bought one for my niece for her birthday and she was very happy to receive it. I recently timed myself when slicing a double loaf of bread, and it was under 1 1/2 minutes from start to finish. The most difficult part of baking bread was slicing it, now, it’s effortless and it’s one of the best and regularly used small appliances I use. It sticks perfectly to our granite counter and easily comes off when putting it away (if I had the room, I would leave it on my counter, though). Highly recommend for yourself or as a gift to the bread baker you love.

Great slicer but doesn’t stick well

It’s a great slicer. The blade is sharp and the design beautiful. The wooden board there slicer is mounted on is smaller than I expected and smaller than most bread slicers you see in Germany.

The suction feet don’t actually stick very well at all and we have put it on a sticky mat to make it work and it’s still wobbly.

After you figure out proper grinding speed (live and learn). Does grind on lowest setting (fine) close enough to Turkish coffee making standards (powder) and that is the reason why I bought it - due to travelling; because grinded coffee which you buy is to coarse even on their fine settings.

Great knife sharpener.

Does exactly what is meant for. Takes a little bit more metal than using sharpening stones, but does the job way faster. My wusthof knifes went from slightly dull to well sharpened within 10 strokes.

Incredibly welcome addition to the sauna

The 4-Point Sauna Headrest has improved our sauna experience immensely. Not only has it eliminated the constant laundering of folded up towels, but it actually feels good on the cranium. We have found that we can introduce a slight amount of neck traction by positioning the headrest a little further from the shoulders. So, we get adjustable head support, with a mild neck adjustment as a bonus. You will want to order one per person, so you don't have to take turns using it.
