The variant for elongated spaetzle is similar to scraped from the board. This variant has small spikes on the underside of the elongated holes through which the dough slowly drips into the water. By slowing down the flow of dough, you get elongated spaetzle.

Best thing to slice bread!

I love this slicer! It is well made. Thanks to the carriage and pusher I'm not afraid that I'll lose my fingers. The bread guide to keep the slices away from the crank is a great addition. A quick wipe of the counter top and suction cups with a damp cloth and the machine will stick to the counter like superglue. Slices through crusty sourdough like a hot knife through butter. Just fantastic!

Outstanding and smooth bread slicer

The difficulty of slicing fresh baked bread was frustrating. No matter what knife I used, slices became mangled, crumbled and the sizes were inconsistent.
